Michigan Wedding DJ

When I am Booked - 1st Choice

I am often asked who to go to when I am already booked. Here is the guy. He brings a sense of calm to any situation because he is so upbeat. Jerry is very sensitive to reading a crowd and "gets it" at a gut level which seems to be something you can't teach. He is truly an independent contractor. You book him through me as an agent but he supplies all his own audio gear and music. Pricing for Jerry is at times a bit less for one reason... supply and demand. I've been around deejaying the wedding circuit consistently and have a bigger "bride" following. Jerry however has spent more time doing clubs because he's just not big on the paperwork side of the equation that brides should demand. If I am not open I am very comfortable turning you onto DJ Jerry. He does my family weddings and I know he's top shelf. OK... so here is his bio/info

DJ Jerry

DJ Jerry Curtis has been playing dj for 20 plus years. In fact in the "dj world" he's a dj's dj. Jerry not only plays 4-5 nights a week at local clubs but has played a who's who of clubs including: The Beach Grill (tecnho, pop, hip hop and more) Rosie O' Gradys (country, classic rock, little bit of everything) and too many to mention including; Wooly Bullys, Skinnys, Lipsticks, Gator Jakes, San Gria and more. In addition to being fully self employed as a club jock he is making himself available to brides and grooms and corporate events in the Detroit Metro and northern suburbs as well.
He keeps moving further north and currently resides in Dryden, MI with his wife and 3 children but he is used to traveling for events. Jerry knows how to take charge and make fun happen at a party and as the author of this paragraph (dj dan) he has deejayed personally for some of my family members. What I like most about having Jerry available for your event is that I know without a doubt the knowledge and skill he brings to the table for the most discriminating tastes. In fact at times, though I generally book myself first then Jerry, I recognize Jerry as more suited for some events than myself especially if it's a more R&B influenced group (or country or techno). He really is the complete package. Why does he book through me then?? Well the candid truth is he prefers I handle getting the jobs and paperwork together. He just doesn't spend much time focusing on the wedding and corporate party business. He spends his days with his family and his other business endeavor selling health products. Another thing about Jerry, is he is the most upbeat person I have ever met. That is an asset on a stressful wedding day.

How to Book Jerry

Call me (dan) 248-541-0250 and we'll get it set. You will find that most larger dj companies won't even let you talk to the guy you're booking. Well, I am happy to pass on his phone number and let you have a covnersation with him before you book. The math is simple. He's busy all day with family and in the evening he works. Because of that I act as his agent. He takes a slightly smaller portion of the total because I handle his bookings for him. If my repuation and customer testimony isn't enough for you, then I suggest option 2.

Option 2, 2nd Choice

Call any number of deejays out of the phone book or web and see which one suits your style. If they're a bigger company you won't get to meet the dj anyhow but maybe they'll still fill a gap I can't. If they're an independent dj like myself you should have the chance to meet them. Meeting your dj is a good thing in my opinion and if I could make the numbers work on Jerry I would. People that book Jerry do so because either they were referred to him by a friend or family member or, they know my expectations and trust in the outcome.

Client Testimonials
"Jerry is one Hell of a DJ. Make no bones about it. He is really gooooooooood..."

Mike Staff (of Mike Staff Productions) in a conversation about Jerry's skills over a Christmas Dinner with me, DJ Dan. NOTE: He'll kill me if he knows I quoted him for my business interests. SHHH
